A New Wardrobe

I haven't shopped for new clothes in quite awhile, but I think there will be no getting around it now. I'm dreaming of wearing these cute maxi maternity dresses all summer long. I'm afraid that they'll be too short for me. I'm thinking I may have to try making one myself with some pretty Anna Marie Horner fabric. I have always been fearful of sewing clothes, afraid they would look homemade (versus handmade and cute). The idea of sewing maternity clothes could have disaster written all over it. We'll see. I've been frustrated before by things never fitting, and when reviews say, "I'm 5'7" and it fit perfectly, or I'm 5'9", I'm guessing for this 6'1" giant + a belly it won't fit perfectly. Look at me I'm already complaining and I don't even know if this will be a problem! If you see any cute maternity clothes, send them my way!

I've been coveting clothes from a particular seller on e-bay lately, but I'm too cheap to buy them because this is probably my last. You should invest!! http://shop.ebay.com/mommy-to-be-boutique/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25

I have a 33 inch inseam, and I've found that Gap Maternity has long-sized jeans that fit me perfectly. Of course, the one pair I got were from Goodwill, so I can only say that one cut is perfect. So many others just don't stay up on the belly or are high-waters on me! That's why I love skirts and dresses!

Becca, sadly I hate to tell you but you will find that Maxi dresses are hard to find long enough even without a pregnant stomach. However, it's not completely impossible, I have one from Target that is the perfect length. So I don't know if you are allowing yourself to shop at Target again but you might find something in the maternity wear there. And plus don't forget what mom and I said about that one shirt we got you for your birthday, it could probably work. ;)

Maternity clothes are really tough. I'm 5'4" and I found almost every single pair of maternity pants to be too short for me! At least it's summer, maybe some maternity shorts? Or find some maternity pants that look like capris on you? (Not kidding, I have one pair I'll have to turn into capris even for me with the next kiddo).

Oh you are going to be beyond cute in anything. I'm so sad I was oblivious to your belly today! But my co-worker Chris said she knew right away that you were pregnant!
