Some Music Advice

I haven't bought new music in ages. I think I want to put together a labor playlist, or maybe just some good tunes to listen to after the baby is here. Any suggestions?

Becca, I have to laugh because you made me think of my first labor. Caleb made a CD for me with all my favorite music, and put it in once we were at the hospital. I kept asking him to turn it down, and then finally told him to shut it off entirely! It was grating on me. I thought about getting some meditation-type music (Enya or something)for my last delivery because I think that would have been good. I had been reading Hypnobirthing, and they have CDs you can buy to aid your visualization and relaxation.

As far as good music, we've been enjoying Ingrid Michaelson, Adele, Keane, Mercy Me, The Almost, and general Pandora selections. Blessings on these last few days of rest!

Yeah, I figure I might not want music at all. I'm kinda thinking more for at home later. If I do listen to music I might do an all instrumental playlist. I think most people who actually make a playlist probably don't even use it-isn't that how it goes :) I didn't think I'd really get around to it (now I actually have time) so I thought I'd put our phone on the dock with an instrumental Pandora station or something.

I do love Pandora but I thought it might be nice to actually buy some music. Our itunes account has turned into Sam's playlist!

i hate to admit it (because you compiled most of it for me!) but i didn't use my labor music either. i think i would have been annoyed by anything.

BUT i have been loving Mindy Gledhill lately. a lot. she's good for relaxing/lullabye music. :)

Hi Becca, my daughter was talking about making a cd for her labour (due 1st December) she did one for her first baby, took it to the hospital and then didn't want to listen to it
