A Winter Hike

Go on a winter hike was one of our advent activities. It didn't exactly feel like a winter hike. (We didn't walk through snow) But we finally made it all the way up to the top of the falls. It was beautiful. We went right after the crazy storms and flooding going on around here, so the falls were pretty powerful. Here are some of my favorite pictures. I posted a few awhile ago, and you can see a tremendous difference. So much more water was rushing after all the rain and snow! So this is the hike you guys can experience for yourself if you come visit, it's right around the corner at the state park!
The light was hitting this so beautifully
This was a cool thing, a tree growing out of another tree
This log had a perfectly round hollow hole in it

Here are the lower falls
The Middle Falls

Another shot of the Middle Falls
Some nice mountain views
We finally made it, after a couple hours, the Upper Falls
